Target Caller Part 1

Fleet command is one of the uniquely rewarding activities that EVE Online offers. Appreciated by traditional MMO raid leaders and military strategists alike, fleet command is seen by many as the pinnacle accomplishment in many prestigious EVE careers. However, the path is difficult and a young FC must not only contend with the dangerous spaces of New Eden, but also the fears and doubts of his or her own mind.

Aideron Robotics’ lead military commander Blastil imparts his advice from his years of experience as a fleet commander in EVE, commanding fleets great and small. This audio series is meant to function as a primer, and guide for those seeking to lead others into combat. This is not your typical podcast: no silliness, no bullshit, just advice. This is Target Caller.

Thanks for the knowledge! I’m most certainly not the biggest dick in the fleet but I’m sure I’ve pissed a few folks off over the years. The point you make about FC’s not always applying DPS due to their concentration on target calling is so valid! It took me a little while before I realized that – now when I’m in a fight I focus on target calling, fleet position and a million other things before I worry about applying DPS. I’ve missed being on many killmails but I get much more satisfaction managing the fight – nice podcast…
