CSM9: The First Town Hall

CSM9, like CSM’s 7 and 8 before them, will be holding several Town Hall meetings during our term. Given the changes to the release cycle introduced by CCP, we feel that a town hall every other release is the best schedule for CSM9. This allows for the fact that some releases may not be as feature heavy as others, or include any sort of paradigm shifts with regards to game mechanics. Additionally this offers some flexibility if major issues or shifts in direction on CCP’s part do occur. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that the first CSM 9 Town Hall will be held on Sunday June 22nd 2014 from 19.00 UTC. As with previous town halls, this will be hosted by EVE University on their public mumble, and simultaneously broadcast on EVE Radio as part of DJ Wiggles show. CSM9 will take questions from any EVE player during this – and future – session on any subject, especially those relating to either this week’s Kronos release, or the Crius release later this summer. You can ask your questions live on the night by joining the in game channel ‘CSM Townhall’, by posting them direct in the comments to this article or in the Jita Park thread for this town hall. The moderator on the night will ensure that all questions that we are asked are answered, unless we on the CSM find our hands tied by our NDA. For those new to the CSM and how we interact with the public, town halls are an excellent opportunity for you to ask questions of us, receiving immediate and unrehearsed answers from the many CSM members that attend such meetings. They are a great way to get some insight into the CSM and how we work, with discussion on the CSM process, our views on upcoming releases, current features and so much more all being aired during the town halls. They are also a great way to try and get us to break the NDA – this seems to have become a sport with many of the regular attendees to past town halls due to the them being live. We look forward to seeing many of you at our first town hall on the 22nd June.
